    FILMSCREENING
A film by Ida Kammerloch and Vladimir Alin

    1.9.2023

This film by Ida Kammerloch based on material of her grandfather Vladimir Alin (b. 1949), which consists of 400 hours of home video material.

„A colorful market scene with tired vendors standing or sitting while 90s hits blast from tape recorders on every corner. Plastic toys and colorful clothes mingle in the confusion of the crowd with puppies and kittens sold in cardboard boxes. The year is 1996 and Vladimir Alin takes us to his workplace. Today is his day off, which he uses to stroll around the market. While my grandfather films, I point my little index finger tirelessly in various directions, holding puppies and chewing gum.“
