    I don’t look up anymore
    since the sky turned sulfurous.
    I keep moving—
because to stop means to see too much.
    I set up beach chairs
    on disappearing shores.
    I book flights
to places that won’t exist in ten years.
    I find things to burn.
I find new things to desire.
    I move on—
    shed another layer.
I want to see all systems go.
    I anticipate.
    I am all set.
    I am exhausted.
    I feel tired.
    I am in a loop.
    I collapse.
    I don’t expect too much
from the end of the world.
    I hear a hum.
    I know that sound.
    Am I dreaming?
